1. Overview

SuperSpeech is developed by Wolfy Tech LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company. We take your privacy seriously. SuperSpeech is designed as a privacy-first application: all speech-to-text processing happens entirely on your device. No audio recordings or transcription text are ever transmitted to our servers.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 License Activation

When you activate a license, we process the following data:

  • License key — to validate your purchase
  • Hardware ID hash — a one-way hash of your device identifiers (CPU, disk serial, OS) used to bind the license to your device. We cannot reverse this hash to identify your hardware.
  • Email address — provided at purchase for account management and support

2.2 Subscription Heartbeat

For monthly and yearly subscriptions, the app sends a periodic heartbeat to verify your subscription status. This request contains only your license key and hardware ID hash. No audio, text, or usage content is transmitted. Lifetime licenses bind once and then operate fully offline.

2.3 Audio and Transcription Data

We never collect, transmit, or store your audio recordings or transcribed text. All processing happens locally on your device using on-device ML models. After transcription, audio data is discarded from the in-memory buffer. No transcription content leaves your machine.

2.4 Analytics

Our website uses Vercel Analytics and Wolf Analytics for privacy-conscious website usage and conversion measurement. In this setup, Wolf Analytics runs in GDPR mode and does not add extra analytics cookies. The desktop application does not send any analytics or telemetry data.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

  • Audio recordings
  • Transcribed text content
  • Keystroke or clipboard data
  • Screen content or application usage
  • Location data
  • Advertising identifiers

4. Data Storage and Security

License data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on secured infrastructure. All communication uses TLS encryption. License keys are stored with HMAC-signed tokens. Your hardware ID is stored only as a one-way hash.

5. Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of your personal data
  • Correction — correct inaccurate personal data
  • Deletion — request deletion of your personal data
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured format

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Stripe — for payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
  • Resend — for transactional emails (license delivery, support). Email addresses are shared with Resend solely for email delivery.
  • Vercel Analytics — for anonymous website analytics (no cookies, no personal data).
  • Wolf Analytics — for website usage and conversion measurement in GDPR mode without collecting audio or transcription content.

7. Data Retention

License and account data is retained for the duration of your subscription or license validity, plus 90 days after expiration for support purposes. You may request deletion at any time by contacting support.

8. Children's Privacy

SuperSpeech is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of SuperSpeech after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
